How to Make Kimchi

Do you love ferments but are afraid to try and make them on your own? Have you had fermentation failures and want to find out what you did wrong? Or perhaps you have made some great ferments and are eager to “feed your bug!”

Come join our friend Katie Struble as she demonstrates how to make kimchi using our own napa cabbages and other fresh produce from our garden. Katie is an experienced cook and fermentor, and will cover the whole process of making the spicy Korean ferment from harvest through fermentation, including theory, technique, and ways to pack your kimchi with flavor.

The class will be held here at our farm in Forest from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday June 9, 2019. Attendance is $30 per person, which includes a take-home recipe and your very own jar to take, ferment, and eat at home and snacks will be procided. Check or cash payment will be taken at the workshop.
